So you have decided to take the IELTS test. Now you are completely lost. Should you hire a private tutor for 1:1 sessions to prepare for the test? Should you enroll in a face-to-face group course at an IELTS Preparation institute? Should you enroll in an online course maybe? Or should you just believe in yourself and start your self directed IELTS prep journey on your own?

These are some of the questions that overwhelm a majority of IELTS test potential candidates. To make things worst, there is a plethora of conflicting and very confusing resources on the internet. I will try to make it a bit easier for you to at least get started with your IELTS preparation.

Whatever path you choose to take for your IELTS preparation, just don't do these 3 things:

1. Read thousands of Writing Tasks ( 1 & 2) samples from a hundred different websites

2. Memorize sample speaking test responses

3. Read English Fiction (novels, short stories etc.) thinking it will improve your reading band score

I will explain all these in detail in an upcoming post.

Until then.

Happy learning and IELTSNUGGETing :)

Love

Aisha
